Reward Charts and Love Notes.....

Dear Diary.....

Today we started our "Chore Chart", otherwise known as "Reward Chart"!  My list of duties are brushing my teeth at night (because I sometimes forget), making my bed, clearing my plate after meals, and putting all my shoes in my closet (because I change them so often, they are always laying all over the house)!  Tay's list of duties are brushing her teeth morning and night (because she sometimes forgets all together), clearing her plate after meals, and no hitting (surprise surprise)!  Happy to report Day 1 as a success....Im not saying we didnt have to be reminded 10 times, but we got our stickers for Monday and Mommy is hoping the more we move along, the more we start remembering these "chores" on our own!  

Something else I wanted to quickly jot down is how much I love getting Mommy's love notes in my lunch box everyday!  It just adds a smile to my face when I open up my lunch  ....its a fun mid-day surprise!

Boating with the Burgers

Dear Diary.....

Fun day out on the water with The Burger's!!!!  It was my first time on a boat or at least that I can remember!  I loved when we went fast over the waves and the bumps came!!!  I was very good about wearing my life vest too.....we went to a cute little beach with LOTS of shells, but I am always afraid of the waves, even though they were very little today!  I am always yelling "the water's gonna get me"!!!!  Mommy told me not to be scared and in I went.....then we had to swim back out to our boat, so we played in the water around it for a little bit!  I even got really brave and jumped off the side of the boat into Daddy's arms!  We had a blast.....cant wait to do it again!!

I Survived my First Week of School!

Dear Diary.....

Well I survived my first week of Kindergarten!  I had a great time.....so many cool things happened!  Every day we get "graded", 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest...well guess what?!  I got 5's every single day!  We can also earn these blue slips called "positive paws" from various teachers around the school if they see us doing something nice or just following the rules.  Well guess what?!  I got 6 of those my very first week!  That means on Monday I will get to pick something from Mrs.Barnes treasure chest!  We had a fire drill one day, I found out I have PE with my friend Sydney on Friday's.....so we got to play together, oh and Mommy & Daddy came to have lunch with me on Friday too!  It was a fun week, but I am looking forward to 2 days off!

My First Day of Kindergarten

Dear Diary....

Today was my first day of Kindergarten!  You would have thought I was going off to college by the way Mommy and Daddy got so excited about it!  I was excited too though and had a lot of fun my first day!  My teacher's name is Mrs. Barnes.....she is super nice!  Mommy likes the fact that she has a really detailed website, good first impression she says!  I dont know anyone in my class, but met a few kids the first day.  I also rode the bus for the first time ever....it was super hot since there is no AC!    I sat with Kinley and another girl who is in 2nd grade.  Her name is Ilanna and she makes sure Kinley and I are ok when we get off the bus!  Taylor was screaming in the morning because she wanted to ride the bus too.....poor thing, she wishes she was as big as me I guess!  

Anyways, hoping for a great year!!  Wish me luck!

Time to Meet My Kindergarten Teacher....

Dear Diary.....

Today I got to meet my kindergarten teacher and her name is Mrs.Barnes and she is really, really nice!  My new classroom looks like its going to be super fun!  After Kindergarten camp, I was hoping to get a teacher I met there named Ms.Will.....but Mrs.Barnes seems just as nice, so I am excited!!!  Kinley got Ms.Purvis and Syd got Ms.Will!  Oh and JB got Ms.Will too....other than that, most of my friends went to different schools, so its time to make some new ones!  I am always a little shy at first around new people, so Mommy & Daddy assured me that making new friends is not scary, its fun....so off I go, Im ready to start on Monday!

I Did It....Learning to Ride a Bike with Poppy!

Road Trip to Grammy & Poppy's House

Dear Diary......

Well we made it!!!!  16 plus hours to Pennsylvania and 16 plus hours back......just me, Taylor, and Mommy!  Whew....what a long ride, but all in all, we did great!!!  It was really fun to cross into a new state every couple of hours.....although South Carolina took forever! We were going to stop in every state and take a picture at each welcome sign, but Mommy was on a role and didnt want to stop that many times!  Fine with Tay and I because we just wanted to get there......Mommy even brought the little potty along just in case!!!!

Anyways, we had a great trip.....we love seeing Grammy & Poppy and of course we got to see the twins!!!  Here are a few pics from our trip......the most fun day was when we went shopping all day with Grammy and out to lunch!!!   She took us to a place called Friendly's - me & Tay loved the special ice cream treats at the end!  Oh and Poppy taught me how to ride my bike.....I will post a video in another entry!  And as an added bonus, I got to see my boyfriend Charlie.....it was his 5th birthday, so we went to his party!!!  Somewhere along the way, in true Taylor fashion, she decided to take all her clothes off and go running around the party naked....guess every party needs a streaker?!  Thank goodness everyone got a kick out of her!  It was so hard to leave, we cried for the first hour on our trip back, so hopefully we go back soon....but next time, I hope we fly!
